How the process generally works
Step 1
Tell Us Where You Are in the Process
Complete a short form so we understand whether you are exploring private-pay services, preparing to contact your VA care team or already have an approved authorization.
Step 2
Contact Your VA Healthcare Team
Veterans seeking VA Community Care must contact their VA healthcare team and request that the VA review whether community care is appropriate and available.
Step 3
VA Reviews the Request
The VA—not ReThrive Oasis—determines eligibility and whether a referral can be approved.
Step 4
Review the Authorization
If the request is approved, the veteran receives authorization information identifying the approved provider, authorized services and approved time period.
Step 5
Confirm Before Scheduling
The veteran should confirm that ReThrive Oasis and the requested service are specifically included in the authorization before scheduling care expected to be covered by the VA.
Step 6
Begin Approved or Private-Pay Support
Once the pathway is confirmed, ReThrive Oasis can help arrange the appropriate next step.
